Flying
Stephan’s flying series fuses concepts of art and technology. Working on aluminum and using materials such as epoxy resin, Stephan has created a “retro-futuristic” series that conveys adventure, dynamism, and the thrills of flying and of the big city.
His female pilots are heroine adventures, at once compelling and inaccessible.
Stephan Venekas
Stephan Venekas is a French fine art photographer. Subtil game of lights and colours, obvious passion for aviation, gripping capture of the image, feeling of speed… His work reflects his continuous search for emotions that unveil more than they suggest a new figurative world; an almost unreal idealisation which takes its origins from vertical cities such as Hong-Kong. Moreover, his pictures reveal an obvious fusion between aeronautical science, architecture and feminity which leads us to the fantasy of the unreachable female pilot. The result is a somehow paradoxal mix between freedom and constraints.
In conclusion, an everlasting and unchanging vision of a world which is in constant movement.
